Description

Is there really a difference with Dawson Precision® sights? You bet there is!

While other sights give off a hazy glow making it difficult to focus, Dawson Precision® sights offer you the sharpest picture. We counterbore the blade so the optic is recessed. This subtle difference focuses the light in the sight making it not only brighter, but clearer. A fully cradled optic provides a longer optic lifespan.

I recommend these sites to all my customers. Install them on a regular bases. Some fitting is expected and required. CALL Dawson if you have any questions on the proper site and or proper fit. They are hands down some of the most knowledgeable and supportive people in the industry. Can't recommend them high enough. Great Product and Company.

The quality of this sight is excellent just like all Dawson products. However, I found that installing this on a Colt 1911 can be more difficult than expected. The height of this sight will not always fit over the slide. I have installed two of these and one fit fine, although very close as it should be. The other one actually ran into the top of the slide. I had to do a lot of filing on the bottom of the sight (not the dovetail) to get clearance so it would pass just over the top of the slide. It turned out OK after re-bluing but I learned this the hard way by scrapping one sight first which had already marked the top of my slide. I'm satisfied with the results but I wish they had included something in the package warning me to watch for this possible interference.
