Dawson Precision STI GP6 Fiber Optic Front Sights

Fiber Optic

Fits STI GP6 and Grand Power, will not fit Grand Power K100 Mk 12.

Is there really a difference with Dawson Precision sights? You bet there is! While other sights give off a hazy glow making it difficult to focus, DP sights offer you the sharpest picture. We counterbore the blade so the optic is recessed. This subtle difference focuses the light in the sight making it not only brighter, but clearer. A fully cradled optic provides a longer optic lifespan.

Great product, should have included a new pin.

  2. Instructions didn't work, but sight is excellent

I bought one of these for my Grand Power K100 Mk7, and brought it to a local gunsmith to have it (and the flat black rear sight) installed.

He initially tried to drill the hole with the recommended #45 bit, but it was too large to fit through the roll pin hole in the slide. In the end, he moved to a smaller bit (I'm not 100% clear on which specific bit) and the process proceeded smoothly.

Sight is very bright and clear, extremely easy to see. Highly recommended. I haven't yet tried the green optic, but given that I sometimes shoot indoors I may make that change, since it apparently does better in darker environments. I do wish that installation of the optic didn't require destruction of the previous optic, but that's the price you pay for such a secure system.

Thank you for providing this product for a woefully underutilized pistol.

  3. excellent sight

I install this sight for my Grand Power p1 and K100 Mk 7
    The sight fits well.
The only task was to drill the hole for the roll pin.
With instructions and improvisation the job was done.
I am very much satisfied with the sight and recommend it

  4. Doesn't fit the MK12

Grand Power made a change in 2015 and now uses a flat base dovetail sights, which I was unaware of until contacting them. So I will be returning mine.. If you have a MK12 made prior to 2015 or older Grand Powers models these should work. I recommend that you pull your front sight first to make sure you have the oval base before ordering.
