    I went with these to get a more target style sight system on my Scandium frame S&W 1911PD commander . .295" rear height and a .125" notch. The front sight is .160" tall and .100" wide. I can see thise window perfect and I'm scoring 29/30 from 25 yards consistently. Great sight system. Leaves just a bit of the foreign pin cover washer exposed due to the sight width at the base. This doesn't effect functionality, and sights are hard to find, so I'm ecstatic. I recommend investing in a set of calipers so you know what you have currently and help you adjust to perfect.

    Dawson was the only company that confirmed this will fit my SW1911 Pro Series 9mm , customer service is prompt and knowledgable.
    This is now my third pair of sights from this company , they guarantee zero on packaged sets and bend over backwards to make it perfect impact.
    Now only if I could shoot better

    I have a basic /early S&W 1911 that had been shooting lower than I like. ( I like to see my POI vs have the rounds hit below the sight picture. ) I replaced the front sight with a Dawson .125H fiber optic . That sight got me almost where I wanted to be but I was still shy 1.5" of my goal. This .295" sight put me spot on so I could see POI during plate shoots. The sight itself has outstanding fit and finish. Only minor stoning of the bottom surface was needed to get it to fit perfectly. Much improved sight picture over factory too.
    One note: S&W 1911's use several sizes. These guys know sights and what fits what. It's not worth going anywhere else.
