Description

Is there really a difference with Dawson Precision sights? You bet there is! While other sights give off a hazy glow making it difficult to focus, DP sights offer you the sharpest picture. We counterbore the blade so the optic is recessed. This subtle difference focuses the light in the sight making it not only brighter, but clearer.     Very easy to see, after some fitting it was an easy install and looks great. If you want a easy to see fiber Optic sight for the R1 1911 this one is it. The staff at Dawson are only to happy to help with your sighting needs. Fast shipping and GREAT SERVICE!

    Installed the sight yesterday and took it shooting today ( also installed fiber optic front sight as well ) and I shoot so much more consistent with the sights. Will upgrade with dawson precision sights on all my firearms

    This front sight came perfectly as is, it comes with a handy aluminum punch and two sets of fiber optic inserts, red & green. I used the green one and I love it. Put the sight on and brought it to the range, i got the zero I wanted!

    This is a great option for anyone looking for a FO front sight for their R1 1911. The sight is quality, and the aluminum punch that comes with the sight is AWESOME, I would purchase this separately by itself alone. It made install simple with the shelf cut into the punch, I did have to fit a little but watching the fitting video on Dawson's youtube page gives some great tips. I used a small triangular file to cut the sight to fit, only took a couple swipes and sight pressed into nicely with a couple taps.

    Also prior to ordering I spent some time on the phone with Dawson Precision and their customer service is top notch.

    If you want a FO front sight for your R1 1911, don't hesitate, this is a quality product.
