USPSA Gun Measuring Box by Shockbottle
USPSA Gun Check Box
This box is made for checking pistols for compliance with USPSA Single Stack and Production Division rules.
"Handgun with empty magazines inserted must fit wholly within a box with internal dimensions of 8 15/16” x 6” x 1 5/8” (tolerance +1/16”, -0”) (USPSA Rules, Feb 2014)
This box is made very close to the minimum tolerance to be sure a handgun that fits this box will fit in any USPSA box. The gauge is made without a top or bottom so any parts of the pistol that stick out of the gauge can be easily identified.
1 - Remove IDPA plate(s) if installed
2 - Place gauge on a smooth flat surface. Wood, thin cloth or plastic surfaces will help protect handgun finishes.
3 - Place handgun in the box
4 - Slide a ruler or other straight edge across the top of the box. If it does not catch on any part of the handgun, it passes the size test.
