Extractor tension is achieved by two springs that push on the side of the extractor. Regular extractors are bent to achieve tension. They straighten out over time and cause malfunctions.
No slide modifications are necessary. Complete instructions and extra springs included. Used by World Champ Todd Jarrett. Fits 1911, Springfield, Kimber, STI, and SV. May require fitting.
DISCLAIMER: This WILL NOT WORK in Series 80 Colt® or Para® pistols.
The extractor in a 1911 can be problems, with the Aftec extractor my extractor problem are no more. Be sure and read and follow the simple install instructions.

I bought this extractor after experiencing several failure to extracts and it was a quick and easy install. I made a quick trip to the range to test fire my STI and not a single extraction problem.

I have used Aftec extractors in 9mm, 38super and 40 S&W They all have functioned flawlessly for thousands of rounds. These are first rate products!
They do require a little fitting but it is not difficult and the instructions are excellent.
