These baseplates are CNC machined from billet aluminum and are uniquely designed to EASE the installation and removal of the baseplate to the STI/SV 2011® mag body. In addition, they DO NOT ADD CAPACITY and each weigh 1oz, making them LEGAL for USPSA® and IDPA competition. And, of course, the taller baseplates also HELP facilitate reloads when using a magwell. Be sure to check after installation to be sure your gun still fits the IDPA, USPSA®, or IPSC® box after installation.

Had to (ugh) comply with the new NJ magazine 10 round limit. The 10 rnd 126mm mags fit flush in my STI DVC Steel 9mm so I wanted something that extends beyond the mag well with some weight that DOES NOT increase capacity. These work great and the mag has no problem seating. Other base plates extend a bit above the bottom of the mag and won't go all the way in. So if you have to stay in NJ until you can sell your house and move, go with these base plates!

Purchased these for my STI Edge. I like these as they're just long enough without be too big. E-Z on and off for cleaning the mag too. As always, feee shipping is a big plus when buying from DP.

Very easy to install. The finish is outstanding and the extra weight helps a lot with dropping a empty mag!...well worth the money!
