The stock mag release on my RO was okay but could be improved. Once the Dawson part was installed the difference was like night and day. This is a fantastic part and the quality can't be beaten.

Purchased and installed the DP Extended Mag release for my 1911 Spring Field Range Officer. Installation was an easy drop-in job. Fit and finish was excellent. Was a great improvement for me in IDPA shooting events. Would buy product again if needed.

A must have for me

I have rather small hands and getting to the mag release on a 1911 was rather difficult. However, with a super scoop grip panel in combination with this DP mag release, my problems were solved. The DP mag release also being IDPA legal and eliminating the possibility of over pressing the mag release in, makes this a mandatory part for any 1911 for me personally.
Dropped right in without a fuss in my Colt Series 70. Fit, finish, and function are excellent.

My previous magazine release would hang up frequently so I ordered this one.
Dropped in easily
Works 100%
Cannot over travel and trap the magazine not allowing it to fall freely.
What more could you ask for? Easily worth the price.
