I wrote a some what negative review earlier, (which did not appear anyplace yet) complaining about the very tiny sight from my green optic I ordered. I called the company to see if there was a plan 'B' because I knew I couldn't be the only one that thought the .040 was too small. For an additional $4.00 I ordered two, .125 green "Pre-bulbed" light tubes, which should work fine for me. They should be 3 times as big. Wish I knew about those earlier but that's my fault for not being able to find that on the web site, which to me is a bit confusing but I am not close to being a computer person. Another problem from being a grumpy senior citizen. Anyway, they were very helpful and I think this will do just fine. Nice company to work with.

Measure Twice Cut Once

I put Dawson fiber optic front sights on all my pistols. I keep switching between red and green, but have settled on green. They are super bright if there is any light. I enjoy shooting with them. Bulb the end and leave enough to bulb other side. Very easy to change out.

Easy Upgrade

I replaced the fogged over useless front fiber optic sight Insert that came with my Rock Island 1911 Ultra 9mm pistol with the .040" outstanding light gathering red Dawson Precision fiber insert. The change has made sight acquisition much easier and has improved pistol accuracy because the fiber I installed is slightly smaller in diameter than the original fiber but still usable in the existing front sight.

The fiber optic insert blanks are of excellent quality. Everything I have ordered from Dawson has been "QUALITY" from the products to their customer service. Very helpful personnel. Keep up the good work!!!

Bright FO Insert

The green .060 FO inserts that came on my Wilson CQB are not the brightest. I decided to try the Dawson fiber in red since the 040 ones in their own sights are very bright. Changing the sights was a snap using a Bic lighter, and the sight is appreciably easier to pick up with the red 060 fiber.

I get Dawson fiber optic sites and need to replace them often. Get the correct size and the quality I am looking for with a good price to go with it to boot.

Nice replacement for the front sight fiber optic rod I lost during a shooting session. The best part of the order was the FREE shipping. So many times you pay more for the shipping than you do for the product itself. When the price was $7.50 I was pleasantly surprised that the shipping was free. Order was quickly filled too.

My Fire Sight needed a new light pipe and Dawson filled the bill. Its like a new sight again and I have enough for the future.
