Sight for GSG 1911 .22cal, Fiber Optic Front, by Dawson Precision®

A Dawson Precision sight is a awesome addition to my GSG 1911 (.22}. Installation was a pretty easy upgrade and made it very easy to see the front sight with very little ambient light. I love it!

Replaced my stock front sight with this GSG f/o front sight using their calculator. My grouping at 25 yrds went from 6.75" to 4.125" and was SPOT ON. Install was a breeze, did not have to file my dovetail and the stainless post seems like it will last a long time. The package includes the sight, two extra fiber optic inserts, an Allen key and a quality seating punch. There are two set screws - one on each side of the post.

This sight provides a crisp clear picture and is very bright. After doing other modifications to my GSG 1911-22, including a Novak white dot rear sight, it was shooting 3.5 inches high at 15 yrds. Using the sight calculator, this front sight now has the POI/POA dead on.

Very nice product, easy to install. I'll put a DP fiber optic sight on every pistol i own.

The package includes the sight, two extra fiber optic inserts, an Allen key and a quality seating punch... a truly great value. The sight is very well made. The base was slightly oversize and a little file work was necessary for it to fit properly. I measured the old sight placement on the slide for windage and set the new sight accordingly. On the range, windage and elevation were both perfect. The fiber optic is a huge improvement over the factory sight. I couldn't be happier.

Excellent quality sight and being able to order it in so many different heights is really nice. I don't think the product description mentions this, but it does have a tiny set screw on both sides of the blade which is a nice extra measure to make sure the sight stays put.

I have made several modifications to my GSG 1911-22 and Dawson sights were the final step. Very bright, excellent quality. Shoots like a high end 1911 now. I had to remove a fair amount of material b4 sight could be tapped into the dove tail. Make sure you bring it in from the left side of the slide with the inset end of the fiber facing the rear sight. There is an arrow on the bottom showing direction, but it is very hard to see.

Installed this fiber optic front sight on my GSG 1911-22 along with their fiber optic rear sight perfect combination. They had all the necessary information on there Web site to help me figure out the right height sight to install. My GSG came out of the box shooting 4" high @ 20yds. Used there "sight calculator" to figure right height sight to install shoots dead on now and what a bright fiber optic WOW!! Highly recommend!!! Thanks Dawson Precision!!!
