The sight shipped quickly and free. Love that. Had to do some filing on the sight, as it was wider than the gun's dovetail. I recommend using a sight tool to remove the old sight, and install the new sight. Much better sight than the original.

Nice upgrade from the stock Kimber pro carry II black sight. Hand fitting is an understatement for my gun.. I originally thought the sight might be incorrect, but it ended up being that my particular guns tolerance was on the extreme low side which required a lot more fitting than I anticipated, but all worked out. A side note I emailed DP and they responded quickly so 5 more stars for customer service..

Cheap and easy upgrade

I purchased this front sight with fiber optic for my Kimber Team Match. I've never liked using this pistol indoors because my local ranges have the typical crappy lighting. This sight will catch the slightest amount of ambient light and make it a joy to shoot indoors, again. Like others have noted, the Kimber's front dovetail is a little tight. Just take your time, take a little bit of material off at a time, and everything will go nice and smooth.

WISH PIPE WAS BIGGER

Have purchased and installed/had installed a number of Dawson sights....all are well constructed and work well. However, i recently had a need to change pipe colors (red to green) and learned that there are a number of different pipe sizes out there. At 66, my eye sight is certainly not getting any better and this is the primary reason i have changed over to fiber optic sights.....when comparing Dawson pipes to another manufacturer, i noticed, to me anyway, a big difference in my ability to see the pipe in the competitors sight simply because it had a larger diameter. Do with that Dawson offered a similar option of a large pipe diameter.....it sure would be nice to have a brighter/larger sight than what is offered presently.

I think this Dawson Precision front sight will be a great addition to my Kimber Custom II. I had wanted to change the front sight on this pistol for a long time, and I stumbled on to Dawson's web-site. Installation was fairly easy, watch the YouTube video and take your time.

Great front sight

I purchased this sight for a kimber team match 9mm to shoot idpa and love it. Installation was pretty straight forward especially with the included punch. I wish the included punch was a little more substantial due to the tight fit of the kimber dovetail but the one supplied did the trick.

My local gunsmith recommended I try Dawson for my sights. I sent an email that weekend and had a response, with all my questions answered Monday morning. I placed my order and had my sights on Wednesday! I had them install them for me, and good thing, as it took a sight press to remove and install. I wouldn't recommend using a hammer and the little punch that was included. The kit also included a extra red and green sight. The sight is such an improvement. It makes picking up the target so much easier. I plan on upgrading all my guns with Dawson Precision products.
