Replaced target white dot front sight on a Sig 1911 with the fiber optic front. Novak cut installed easily into slide. Advice from Rep enabled right sight dimension. Very happy with result!

Simply the best FO front sight

The fact you can choose the width and height for your specific handgun makes this sight fantastic. I've installed this style on every 1911/2011 I have now. I find I shoot a .100" wide sight the best and Dawson makes the best. I'm running about 50% on the sights being a drop (drive?) in sight. The one's I've had to fit only required minor work before the were perfect.
A minor point, but I also prefer a ramped blade and some heights are only available in Patridge, but they do provide possibly a better sight picture, but you better not be using Dawson's Patridge style for concealed carry as that thing is a meat hook.....

Took a little fitting as I read it would. Fit nicely with great visibility. Has stayed in place for a couple thousand rounds.

Bought a DP fiber optic front sight for my R1 enhanced a couple years back. The original didn't last long until it just broke into pieces. The DP front sight has been on it ever since, with no issues. They are the clearest FO I've looked through. I just received another for my gp100 and it's awesome. They are very durable and easy to install. Will be ordering soon for some of my other guns as well! Thanks for a great product!

I recently purchased a Springfield TRP. It came with Trijicon sights with the silver ring around the dots. The rear sight is nice, but I was having trouble seeing the front sight. This fiber optic really pops and makes the front sight so much better. I took it to an indoor range and turned the lights on in my stall and it was very bright. Outdoors is crazy bright. The kit is great as it includes a custom punch and extra fiber optic rods in red and green. Customer service was outstanding helping with choosing the proper cut and height. In my case installation was extremely easy and only took a couple strokes with the file to fit perfectly. I will definitely buy here again when I need more sights.

I recently installed a Dawson Precision Novak Cut fiber optic front sight on my Les Baer Premier II. This kit is first rate. It comes with the sight, very clear instructions and a drift to install the sight in the slide dovetail. After removing the old post front sight, I did a test fit and had to remove some material from the new sight. I used a fine modeling file to remove some material and retested the sight. When I was satisfied with the test fit, I degreased everything, applied the red Loctite and drove the sight home with the drift.
The next day I took it to the range to test zero and 20 rounds later it was perfectly zeroed at 15 yards, with only minor rear sight adjustments. The following day I shot a match and can't begin to describe how much easier it is to see the front sight now. Dawson produces quality products at fair prices.
