Description

Is there really a difference with Dawson Precision® sights? You bet there is!

While other sights give off a hazy glow making it difficult to focus, Dawson Precision® sights offer you the sharpest picture. We counterbore the blade so the optic is recessed. This subtle difference focuses the light in the sight making it not only brighter, but clearer. A fully cradled optic provides a longer optic lifespan.

  • DESIGNED FOR Smith & Wesson® Classic and DX revolvers.
  • Counter Bored Optic: Keeps sight picture CLEAR and BRIGHT.
  • Wide Base: Provides added mounting strength.

    Great sight

Posted by Julius Kassar on Mar 4th 2017

Haven't shot with it yet but it seems to be well made. The optic is perfect for my type of target shooting/Home defence and it's the only one I found close to the .227 height of my S&W TRR8. This one is .225. Also great to get an extra green and red pipe with it.

0.100" width is perfect for IPSC

Posted by VanMan on Aug 11th 2016

The blocky stock sights on my S&W610 were great for target shooting, but I preferred a nice fibre optic front sight for IPSC competitions. I also like more "white space" between the rear sight notch and the front sight blade, so the 0.100" width is PERFECT. Took me 1 minute to install, and just loving the sight picture now! I've ordered more for my other revolvers :)

    Nice Sight

I really like this sight. I ordered the narrowest one I could find and it really helps me refine my sight picture for those long or tight shots.

    Required!

Posted by Ken on Jan 7th 2016

Almost all of my revolvers sport a Dawson fiber optic front sight. I use the 0.100" wide and around 0.300" tall for four inch barrels and 0.250" for six inch and longer barrels. For competition, I would recommend blue Loctite to ensure the sight does not get knocked out from contact with a prop. I also use these if the pinned version is not available, and I cut the tabs off and file the blade to fit.

    Best Sight Picture

S&W should offer these as standard equipment. Far better than anything they currently offer!

    Best sights

I install a lot of the Dawson sights in a year. They are always my first recommendation to customers . Never a problem with them. All the people at Dawson are great to deal with , especially Daniel.

    Another Fine Product

Posted by Unknown on Nov 6th 2015

This site is exceptional in both craftsmanship and funtionability. The sight measurements are exactly as advertised and the fiber optic is bright enough for easy pick up but no too bright as to obscure vision in low light shooting. I have never regretted my decision to place a Dawson Precision on any firearm. Their customer service goes hand in hand with the quality of their sights.
