Description
Is there really a difference with Dawson Precision® sights? You bet there is!
While other sights give off a hazy glow making it difficult to focus, Dawson Precision® sights offer you the sharpest picture. We counterbore the blade so the optic is recessed. This subtle difference focuses the light in the sight making it not only brighter, but clearer. A fully cradled optic provides a longer optic lifespan.

I have the pinned fiber optic on two Smith's now. Very well made and look pretty cool as well. These are priced competitively with any others out there. What sold me is the vast height and width options. If you really know what you need Dawson may be only the only option. I am very well pleased with them.
Nice bright sight, reasonable price and fast shipping.
Dawson sights helps old people using iron sights the ablity to still shoot. Ron
I've installed two sets of the Dawson Fiber Optic Front Sights for S&W 686 revolvers. These sights offer a greatly improved sight picture over the stock "red ramp" and work well with the white outline real sights. I really like fiber optic front sights and the Dawson's are the best I've found. I'll also be installing one on my Ruger SR1911. Installation is straight forward if you have the skills and tools.
I installed this sight on a S&W 586+ 4" barrel, I opted for the .280 X .100" sight. The thinner sight gives an excellent crisp sight picture, the tube is bright. The install is not complicated, just go slow and be patient.
As with all of Dawson sights. Just as I expected it was perfect. Very high quality in all regards.
This is a fantastic sight ! I put one on my M66 and M617. Tools needed, Brownell's Cup Tip Punch part # 080-620-005WB and a #54 Drill Bit and a file. Tap out the front sight pin, remove the old sight and install the new one after drilling a hole through the base of the new sight. Minor filing of the new sight may be necessary for a snug fit. Use a small hand drill bit holder to drill the hole in the sight by hand ! Perfect ! Dead on at 25 yards now !
This sight provides the optical 'pop' that I expected. It shipped with replacement fiber rods (red and green). It was machined very well as it readily fit my SW617 for fitting. Overall an excellent purchase experience with this vendor
