    For an Open Gun

I bought the extended version thinking that I had short thumbs and that I needed the extension. Turns out I didn't but the magazine release feels great! I would definitely recommend to my friends.

    Love it!

I purchased two of these for my primary and backup IDPA outfit. One unit was perfect. The second had a little drag when depressed. 10 seconds with fine sandpaper fixed the issue. The length is great for me - just long enough so that I can drop the mag without having to adjust my grip. Thank you Dawson!

    As Advertised

Put this mag catch in my 9mm SPS Pantera after the stock part allowed a mag to insert to far and broke my ejector. This stops mags where they should stop. Drop in part that came ready to go.

    Still the best!

now running this on all 3 of my STI's and can not be happier. I much prefer the IDPA length as my weakhand will not interfere with the mag button I've added on.

    perfect

got the extended (.265") version hoping it would be sufficient on an Extreme Shooters DVC grip to reach with my stumpy thumb. this release with an Ed Brown button is perfect - don't have to reposition my hand or otherwise rotate to engage the release. might be able to get away with the .190 length, but happy with this one. it DOES come with a spring + lock.

Super easy quality drop in mag release replacement for my standard STI release. Topped it off with a Arredondo mag release button and couldn't be happier!!

    Perfect!

If you want to save your ejectors, this mag release is perfect. Doesn't get in the way, but makes one handed magazine drops a breeze!

Mag Releases STI 2011 by Dawson Precision

I have a sti eagle in .40, seemed my mags started to over travel in the mag well making reloads with the slide locked back almost impossible. STI tech said Dawson made a slide stop that prevented over travel. when it arrived I installed it on the pistol. It preformed as stated and cleared the problem right up. now to order the mag tune up kit and I think a new slide stop and the pistol should run well again. thanks Dawson team..
