Description

Is there really a difference with Dawson Precision® sights? You bet there is!

While other sights give off a hazy glow making it difficult to focus, Dawson Precision® sights offer you the sharpest picture. We counterbore the blade so the optic is recessed. This subtle difference focuses the light in the sight making it not only brighter, but clearer. A fully cradled optic provides a longer optic lifespan.

    High Quality

High quality sight that was easy to install with the tool provided. Now I can co-witness my red dot optic sight with this higher fiber optic.

A Decent Option For Red Dot Sight Pistols

Posted by Jason on Aug 29th 2017

I have some Dawson sights on my guns and find them OK especially in the rear. I think they would do better with a larger fiber optic on fronts. In this case I had a Walther PPQ M5 Match that I'd already spent too much on on having had to switch frames to get the paddle release it should have come with and put a Leupold delta point 2 on it. The rear sight was back ordered from Leupold so once it finally arrived and I mounted it, it was clear I would need around a 0.500" sight height. Ordered the 0.520" one and it works great with the Leupold sight mounted to the rear of the DP2. I find the DP2 much easier to get the dot in sight over say the RMR but you really need backup sights anyway and this gets that done. Of course, of the many holsters I have, I need another to fit this sight but that is part of the game. At least Dawson provides options which for a Walther guy, is appreciated.

    Best competition sights

Posted by James on Aug 1st 2017

I've switched to Dawson sights on all my competition guns for USPSA, IDPA, and GSSF. I put the .210T x .125W front sight on my PPQ M2 5" to get perfect POA/POI at 25yds and ability to group consistently in the A zone at 50yds using 150gr bullets loaded to 128 power factor. The .180T x .100W sight I used previously was ok for 125gr bullets but 4" high at 25yds with 150 gr bullets. Going with the wider front sight has seemed to help me with speed and accuracy in matches.

Great difference in front sight visibility

Posted by Fred on Jul 3rd 2017

Just got it put on my PPQ, but the difference from the original front sight is remarkable-- at least to these old eyes. Haven't shot with it yet (that'll be tomorrow), but it looks like lt'll work. The visibility is great.

Perfect for use with a DeltaPoint Pro with opt Iron Sights

Posted by Neil on Jun 9th 2017

I have a Walther Q5 Match (extended barrel PPQ with match trigger) with a Leupold DeltaPoint Pro red dot mounted. I finally got around to purchasing the Leupold iron sight kit and wanted a raised front sight to pair with it. I choose the .435 height sight. This doesn't obstruct my sight picture (It just barely sticks up into the red-dot window) and allows the iron sights to shoot about 4" low at 25 yards. This is perfect for me since the iron sights are just a backup to the dot in case I ever need to use my race gun in a defensive situation. I used the green fiber rod that was included to let me easily differentiate the front sight from the red dot. If you wanted a true co-witness with the DeltaPoint dot, you will need the .520 height sight to give you a sight picture through the bottom quarter of the red dot glass. The largest .685 would probably put the iron sights too close to the middle and overlap the red dot. Hope this helps!
