So, it's a cool idea to make the follower smaller and give you more space, but the ledge that's supposed to hold the slide open on the last round isn't even anywhere close. This is a function I want in my pistol. It also does not fit the stock spring, you will need to adjust the spring to fit.
As has been stated, they allow another round in the mag. With a +2 mag pad, 17 + 1 in a .45 is really nice.
The follower installed perfectly. This allows all the rounds to feed and gives me the edge for a large round count stage. I was trying for and extra round, say 18, in my .45 para mags, but the extra power spring will only allow me 17, 18 with one up the spout, but that does cause me to run the gun dry. Maybe with time the spring will soften up and allow that extra round to be added. Still I now have 17 round mags in .45 and they work.
I'm very particular about all of the weapon related products that I use. The Arredondo followers are very good, and through Dawson Precision, the price is very good as well.
This follower works great it just doesn't lock slide back on the last shot
This follower is very well made. The material it's made from allows it to move more easily in the magazine without binding. It's engineering also causes it to receive 1 more round in the magazine. I have ordered more.
