In independent testing, ISMI spring have endured in excess of 100,000 compression cycles. EGW® doesn't recommend going that long between changes however. With an ISMI spring, practice routine maintenance and change it once a year.
This guide rod kit is made for the Springfield Prodigy® 4.25". It will also work for the 4.25" Springfield Emissary.
This kit uses a 1/4" diameter guide rod, flat wire ISMI spring, and EGW's fully machined reverse plug.
The takedown hole in the guide rod allows for easy disassembly/reassembly.
The head of the guide rod has smooth beveled edges to make for a seamless look.
