My optic plate is broken; how should I proceed?
Send a photo of your plate to tech@dawsonprecision.com.
In most cases, a broken plate is caused by screws that loosened, allowing the plate to shift violently during firing. This can cause the plate to crack and screws, or positioning lugs, to break. The mounting screws must be checked prior to firing to confirm they are still tight.
Our warranty does not cover plate failure caused by loose screws.
Will this red dot sight work on this optic plate?
All Dawson Precision® Red Dot Adapters and Adapter Plates are model-specific. All plates have been tested with the red dot sights listed on each product page. Unless the red dot sight is mentioned, we cannot guarantee proper fitment on the plate.
I have a Staccato 2011® DPO pistol; what height front sight will I need for my red dot sight?
Most, if not all, Staccato 2011® DPO models (C, C2, CS, P, XC, or XL) ship with a tactical height front sight. These sights should be between 0.265" and 0.285" tall.
If the red dot sight chosen for your pistol indicates the front sight should be a carry height, subtract 0.135" from the current height for the correct carry height front sight.
Conversely, if your pistol has a carry height front sight, add 0.135" to the current height for the correct tactical height front sight.
