Sight, for Ruger® Mark IV™ 22/45™ Pistols, Fiber Optic Front, by Dawson Precision®

I purchased the .420 x .100" and paired it with a Volquartsen adjustable rear sight on a Mark IV 22/45 that I shoot steel matches with. Combination works great. I have Dawson sights on other pistols and they are always bright and crisp. This one is no different. I like the option of a little narrower front sight from the stock form to give a little more light around the front sight as viewed during sight alignment. It's nice for speed and shooting multiple targets but I can still easily hit an 8" steel plate at 50 yards. I'm going to buy another set soon for a different project.

Fits and works as advertised.

I has ongoing problems with the sights on my new Ruger Mark IV Target gun. With the standard factory front sight (0.430 tall), it shot a couple inches low, even at 7 yards with the rear sight cranked all the up. So, I needed a shorter front sight, and bought another vendor's fiber optic sight that was 0.365 tall. That didn't solve the problem either, now the gun shot too high, even with the rear sight elevation cranked all the way down. TO say I was getting frustrated is an understatement.

Then someone pointed me to Dawson Precision, and I found the solution. I was impressed with the variety of front sight heights and widths available, and picked one I thought would be "just right." It was. I chose the 0.400 tall and 0.125 wide fiber optic sight, and it worked like a champ! I now have rear sight elevation capability, and it is much easier to see than the factory black post.

My Target model is now a target gun rather than a point & shoot gun. I also like the fact that the sight comes with an extra red and an alternate green fiber optic rod, in case you break one or want to change colors. Thanks Dawson!!

I had just fabbed up a custom ghost ring rear sight for my Ruger MKII, but the other fiber optic sight I had was far too low. The ghost ring was working great, but was hitting about 8 inches high and I wasn't sure what to do. Did a little research and came here just for the taller sight options.

Not only did the taller sight work perfectly (after adjustment) but the fiber is considerably brighter than the other one I had. Great groups, and great fit and finish.

This product perfectly fits my 22/45 lite. It increases the front height over the stock front sight which "should" help me to line up the iron sights with my Vortex Venom red dot. Will see when I take it to the range. Easy installation.

As always, Dawson make for an outstanding sight picture. The ability of choose just the right height and width to match your needs is why I keep coming back. Every pistol I use, whether for practice or duty, wear Dawson Fiber front and plain black rears. The best combination for a precise sight picture.

I am very pleased with this sight. Having the option to measure your sight and get almost an exact replacement is a change from most. my rear sight needs no adjustment change. can't do much better than that. thanks

This is the perfect sight for my Ruger Mark IV 22/45. The fit and finish is excellent, mounts as if it came from the factory. A great sight for aged eyes. Couldn't be better satisfied. The sight arrived before schedule and was well packaged.
