This order is the 6th set of these magazines that I have ordered. They have always been shipped in a timely manner, and work perfectly. Would definitely recommend. My only complaint is there is not an option for no-gap basepads. So you are either stuck with using the no-gap magwell insert or grinding down the lip on the basepads. When I emailed asking if it was possible I was told that they had to be purchased separately.
I have a Sig Sauer Max 1911 with the Dawson no gap Ice Magwell I shoot in competition. The Wilson Combat 47D magazines with the standard base pad are difficult to seat in the gun. With the extended base pad no problems. Liked them so much I bought two more. Easy to install. The pricing with the magazine and extended base pad was reasonable and found no better pricing elsewhere. The customer service at Dawson was very helpful.
I have 6 of these mags now. They all work great. I left off one star because they really should have an option to select the basepad that fits with their "no gap" magwell. I had to grind them down with a Dremel tool to fit.
These are perfect competition magazines. They work great with the Ice magwell. The mags inserted in my 1911 fit in the official IPSC box. They also come apart very easy for cleaning. I bought 8 of them for single stack competition.
For this price, this simply cannot be beat. The quality of Wilson magazine's that I have been using for years with the Dawson base pad is awesome. I use the Wilson toilet on my colt and the standard pad fits perfect. I ordered more! What's not to love about this partnership!
