When coating, Dawson Precision® suggests applying a thin layer of coating to mating surfaces, such as the inside of basepads, ICE® Magwell insert contact area, and the top of red dot mounting plates. This will help ensure proper fitment is maintained.

Makes a World of Difference
Put the Gun 5 on my Glock 34 and the grip has improved night and Day. The Maxwell puts my hand in a better grip position, the balance is better, but the three base pads are essentially throwaway items. Don't get me wrong, I kept them, but I see no realistic way to ever get them off the gun, so I stuck them on some 10 round mags I had lying around. I would use the included base pads on scrap mags, but use the Dawson easy-off bases on your hi-caps or competition mags.

Must have accessory!
If you are a competitive shooter with your Gen 5 model 17 or 34, this is a must have! The kit comes with base plates to adapt your 3 factory magazines with a bit of extension for a great fit and easy seating. The replaceable insert is a great addition as well. Everything was easy to install, and very high quality

Dawson Quality
The same quality that you come to expect with Dawson products. I like the insert, there is no noticeable drag during mag swaps. It isn’t ridiculously oversized and feels good in the hand. Recommend for Gen 5 users...

I just got my G17 gen5 stippled and now I have put on the Dawson Ice Magwell I love it makes mag changes on the run very easy would highly recommend this product

Great product!
Perfect fit with my gen 5 glock 34. It is well built. Very solid and no wobbles. No issues with magazine base pads. The opening is wide and easy to reload. . I highly recommend this magwell.

Perfect Fit
Received the product shortly after placing the order...little to no wait time. Easy to install. Have yet to shoot the pistol but feels great with dry firing. Base plates give just enough to have something to grip in the event you need to RIP the mag out.

Amazing magazine well but needs one change.
The magazine well installed flawlessly. All of the hardware was top-notch. The fit is absolutely perfect. The only thing that I have to say is about the actual plastic insert that goes inside the mag well. The plastic insert should have a small cut out towards the back of the mag well. This will allow Taran tactical magazines and other magazines that utilize the type of system that to Taran uses to be able to be utilized in this magazine well. I had to slightly modify the plastic insert to be able to fit my Taran magazine extensions properly.
