Para baseplates
Easy installation and they fit the ParaOrd Pro Custom with mag well just fine. Installed on MecGar mags easily. Range test this weekend.
Description
These extended baseplates are CNC machined from billet aluminum and uniquely designed to ease the installation and removal of the baseplate to the mag body. In addition, they DO NOT ADD CAPACITY and each weigh 1 oz., making them legal for USPSA®, IDPA, and IPSC® competition*. And, of course, the taller baseplates also help facilitate reloads when using a magwell.
*After installation, check to ensure that your gun still fits the appropriate box as guns vary dimensionally.
DISCLAIMER: This WILL ONLY WORK WITH 2012 Para® magazines which can be identified with "Made in Italy" engraved on them.

I bought these for a Rock Island Armory Tac Ultra FS HC .45 ACP Double Stack . They fit perfectly. Factory mags came with a cheap 1 piece plastic base plate. One broke the first time at the range so I bought one to try it. Loved it so much I bought 2 more for the other mags. Fit and finish are excellent! Like another reviewer said, the plates fit and work with the mag funnel.
I got both the +100 and +200 base plates for my Mec Gar mags for a RIA 1911A2 TAC. Both plates fit and work with the mag funnel. The +200 plates came with a plastic spring plate that helps the base plate fit better, but both plates work. If you have a mag funnel, these base pads are a good idea.
Its hard to beat Dawson Precision components. These basepads went right onto the Para magazines I use with my RIA 2011. The function well with the stock spring and follower and allow for plenty of clearance with the RIA factory magwell. I was glad that I went with the largest size (+300) as that ended up being the perfect amount of free space to seat the mag easily. As always, my order was handled swiftly and shipped immediately. I always enjoy my dealings with Dawson.
Base plate is high quality. Two minor issues though. They give you a special plate for the bottom of your spring that is sized for the base plate takedown button, IT'S PLASTIC AND PURPLE!!! The second minor issue is the base pad sits a couple mm's below the grips than the original base plate so you see a little more of the magazine. Other than that solid product, may try the mag extension next.
These fit my Rock Island HC mags, Para Mags, and the Mecgar mags. And work in my Dawson magwell on my Rock Island double stack 1911.
Purchased these to replace the factory baseplate on my mag. With these and the Mecgar P18 mags I can have extra mags for the Rock Island HC for $39 a piece. Not bad at all. Thanks guys.
Just bought a new para double stack that came with a mag well. Bought one already and it fits perfectly. So now i am trying to replace all of my mags with it so they all match. I hope more get in stock soon.
Since Para is no longer and Remington appears to be taking their sweet a** time reintroducing any parts or pieces I started searching for magazines for my Pro Custom 14.45. Read the reviews and purchased Mec Gar P14 mags and Dawson base pads. Put them together and they worked perfectly. Thank you Dawson.
