While other sights give off a hazy glow making it difficult to focus, Dawson Precision® sights offer you the sharpest picture. We counterbore the blade so the optic is recessed. This subtle difference focuses the light in the sight making it not only brighter, but clearer. A fully cradled optic provides a longer optic lifespan.

    i bought this to replace the factory sight on my SR 1911. I watched Dave's Youtube video for dovetail front sight install a couple of times. All I needed was a good , flat sanding block and a small file (that I already had) and a little patience. I followed his instruction and his tips on how not to damage the slide. I took about a half hour to put it on , then locktited it in place. The sight works awesome , now I can see easily where my gun is aimed. I can't believe how bright it is, and theres no blurry halo around the sight which i have seen on other guns I've fired. big improvement for a small price.

    Old eyes - bright sight

    I bot this for my Ruger SR 1911 9mm comdr size. Went over to my local gun shop and was installed by them. Its an excellent product and it really shines in daylight. Ordered the 165 x 100 and is now POA POI, great!! This is my second purchase of Dawson Precision Fiber optics the first one was a Competition rear and front sight for my G17 which was also a great product and also very bright . Need that for my old eyes!!

    Another great product from Dawson Precision. fiber optic is very bright. they are very helpful on getting you the right size. Not the first product from them & not the last!

    The sight fit well and looks great. Like the fact that it came with a removal and install tool. The fiber optic is very bright in direct sunlight. Thanks Dawson for this great replacement sight.
