Description

Is there really a difference with Dawson Precision® sights? You bet there is!

While other sights give off a hazy glow making it difficult to focus, Dawson Precision® sights offer you the sharpest picture. We counterbore the blade so the optic is recessed. This subtle difference focuses the light in the sight making it not only brighter, but clearer. A fully cradled optic provides a longer optic lifespan.

The brightness and clarity of the Dawson F/O is unparalleled. I have them on most of my pistols and will be looking to add them to any future purchases. Thanks Dave for your dedication to product quality. Brian

    awesome for theses old eyes

Posted by buttsm on Aug 22nd 2016

I purchased this for an M&P pro core with a 5" barrel. I have always shot low with this pistol. Right handed, left eye dominant. received it in 2 days, went to the shop removed the factory sight, and started the install, after about 20 minutes I realized it took more expertise that I possessed. Off to the gun smith. $20 later fully installed, shot it the following day, all's I can say is "WOW", what a difference it made to these old eyes. I shot the best groups ever. I have a couple of more pistols I am thinking of purchasing these sighs for.

Order Dawson Recomended Sights First - Then adjust POI

Posted by Chris Dodge on Apr 4th 2016

This is my second set of Dawson sights. They are excellent sights. The front post does require a bit of fitting, but the videos provided by Dawson on youtube show you how to do this. All you need is a small triangle file and some patience. Why its not 5 Stars. - In order to be eligible for the Dawson Perfect Impact guarantee, you first need to purchase their recommended sight set for your pistol, even if you already know they will not provide the intended POA/POI. This is not clear on Dawson's webpage. I used their Sight Calculator to pick the FS height I needed to zero my pistol. After installing the new sight set, I needed a further adjustment. I called Dawson CS to let them know and was informed I was not eligible for the Dawson Perfect Impact guarantee since I did not purchase the Dawson recommended set at the outset. I was a bit pissed that this policy was not made more clear. So this set me back another $39 bucks to order the corrected FS sight. - The Dawson front FO sights are long. On an M&P pistol they reduce the sight radius by 0.20 inches. Would like to have as much sight radius as possible, though I admit I am not sure how much of a difference in my shooting this distance would account for. Great sights.... but order the Dawson recommended set size first to make sure you are covered by their Perfect Impact Policy.

    Great Sight

Front sight now installed on M&P 9. Quality sight. Really enjoy the extra fiber red and green. Gives me the time too try both, and see which one works best for me.

    Great Sight, Great Price

Posted by Raymond on Mar 6th 2016

I purchase this sight for a S&W M&P9 Pro-Series CORE. The stock sights were shooting an inch low at 7 yards so I used Dawson's Sight Calculator to arrive at the front sight height I would need to fix the low shot placement. I also wanted something to contrast against dark targets we commonly see in 3-gun competitions. Sight fitting and installation was not difficult, just pay attention to the videos provided by Dawson on this sight and take your time. You will need some tools if you don't already have them. Overall I am really impressed with these sights, I paired this up with a fixed rear sight from Dawson. I will shoot these in a 3-gun competition in 2-3 weeks so I will update after I have put some rounds downrange.

    Top Quality Sights

Posted by William on Feb 8th 2016

High quality materials, well made sights. Go slow on the fitting, as it's usually a narrow window between not enough and too much taken off. What I really liked about this front sight is that they have it in .160" tall, which is the factory height. So I saved some money by just blacking out the dots on the factory rear. Point of aim, point of impact. Perfect!

    Great front sight

Posted by Unknown on Jan 29th 2016

Not as easy to install as other sights, but for good reason. Fitting the sight to your specific gun allows for the best fit overall and long lasting performance. Follow the directions and take it easy and this sight will last forever. Dawson's style of fiber optic installation and recessed area that faces the shooter allows for a very crisp and bright fiber optic.

Dawson precision sights have always been my first choice. The front sight is in my opinion the finest on the market, and coupled with their rear sight, the combination is unmatched. Easy installation and superb customer service.
