Need to Update for the Gen 2 Magazines

Excellent step by step instructions, and the dimensions provided in the DVD have worked with both the STI Gen 1 and Gen 2 magazines. The feed lip arbor didn’t fit the Gen 2 tubes, and the springs have been redesigned making use of the aluminum bar different than shown, but still a great tutorial on magazine tuning.

Watched the video twice, bought a brass hammer and sandpaper and tuned up 4 of my 10 mags. Big difference in the way the rounds feed. Definitely an improvement!

The dvd that came with the tools to do mag tuning was very helpful. I thought that tuning a magazine was going to be much harder than it was but that was not the case. Good work Dawson

The spreader is a must have. Wish they had the DVD on a thumb drive and a format I could use, but there are plenty of vids on youtube to figure out how to do things. I had the lips on my mags tuned in minutes, including polishing the lips. Good stuff.
One more thing... A bit daunting to take a hammer to your mags but it works.

I have a set of 9mm that have 5 seasons on them. All were starting to have issues. About a half hour and they are all up and running again.

The thickness of the tube at the feed lip area was also an issue for me on one mag. 2 others brand new were a mess and now work as they should of. In the future I will only purchase MBX mags. Out of six mags purchased new 3 didn't lock back, one of the Mags also had a bad spring after all the measurements were completed. With out this I would of sold my sti.
