I have 4 STI Trojans, 2 - 40sw & 2 - 9mm. All of them have the DP Ext Mag Release (drilled/tapped) with Ed Brn Ext Mag Button. Wouldn't have it any other way! DP products are the best!!!!!

  2. Helped Solve My Feed Issues

Had feed issues with my 9mm. I tried a .020 higher magazine release, with no success. Decided to try a .010 lower magazine release. It corrected the feed issue by causing the bullets to hit the frame feed ramp lower, and deflecting the bullets upward at a higher angle, and not occasionally hanging up on the barrel ramp.
I didn't really want the magazine release drilled and tapped, so I put a brass 4-40 set screw in the hole for some bling, and checkered the end of the release. The catch and spring are included with the magazine release.

These mag releases are perfect for IDPA. Nice, smooth and just the right length to be IDPA legal. Dawson Precision is a great company and I have their sights on ALL my IDPA pistols. You can't go wrong with either the mag release or with Dawson Precision.

This magazine catch assembly, in my professional opinion, is the most superior on the market. I’ve build several 2011 patter pistols utilizing the inferior products available. The Dawson version works best, required no fitting was fully assembled with correct spring. Don’t waste $$ on anything else

  6. Saved my day

I had recently converted my 45 to a competition 22 upper. I was having issues with the magazines setting too high and not allowing the slide to operate correctly. This mag lowered mag catch really saved the day and was just what I needed to get the mags to sit at the correct height.

  7. Awesome upgrade

My previous magazine release had lots of reloads on in and was causing the mags to hang up while ejecting slowing my reloads in USPSA.

    Perfect fit out of bag.

Also prevents over seating mag on empty chamber. If you've done that, you know how bad it sucks.
