Great product and easy install, needed to take a bit of the sight before the tap in to the slide, but that's the way you want it. Great company to deal with have bought many products thru the years and always a pleasure to deal with.
This front sight for my STI is truly a precision product and the pricing makes it a real value purchase. The installation tool included is an extra added bonus and although I have a "sight pusher" tool I used the Dawson tool as instructed and it worked just fine and did so with out any complicated setup. If you have a vise, you are good to go. This brings me to what I think is the real value at Dawson, their customer service. I made several phone calls to them prior to purchasing the sight to make sure I was ordering the correct sight (width, height, etc.) and they could not have been more patient and helpful in directing me to the correct item. Those conversations and the installation video on their web sight resulted in an installation process that was straight forward and a weapon that now shoots where I want it to shoot. Very squared away outfit that I highly recommend to shooters of all disciplines.
They make it easy to select the best sight for your pistol and it cones with great instructions and a tool to install. My when on easily and I only had to adjust my rear sight a couple clicks to get it dead on. Extremely happy with the purchase and install.
As I have gotten older, for some reason, my black front sights aren't as crisp and clear as they used to be. Well, Dawson fiber optic fronts are crystal. Not only that, but I love the ability to go with a thinner blade. I'm up to 4 of these things and with the exception of tritium sights on my duty Glocks, they are all I will use from now on.
I installed this fine front sight after using the great sight selection tool here online. I viewed the appropriate video for installation that Dawson has posted. I chose to use my Wheeler Sight installation pusher instead of a hammer and the provided punch. The sight did require me to fit it using a file; oversized as stated on the website and in the video. This sight was installed on my STI Lawman 3.0. My 64 year old eyes had difficulty with the black on black square front sight at the range. This solves that concern and I could not be happier. This is my 2nd sight from Dawson and they are my go to for fiber optics. They are built tank tough and bright as can be. Thank-you for the opportunity to share some praise.
