After watching the video on YouTube, the install was fairly easy. I took my time, followed the instructions, and completed the install of both the front and rear sight In about 45 minutes. These are great improvement over the factory standard sights.
I purchased the Charger serrated black rear sight and fiber optic front sight from Dawson to put on a Springfield XD 9 Tactical which I use for duty carry and competition (PPC and USPSA). The sights are great for duty and competition due to the fiber optic front sight and flat black rear sight. This combination demands all of your attention to the front sight which is where it should be! Also the serrations on the front of the rear sight allow for easy function of the slide if you become disabled and are forced to rack the slide one-handed. In addition, my Springfield stock sights were initially set up for a six o'clock hold on the target which I was not a fan of. With these sights it is now point of aim - point of impact from 15 yards and closer, and a "lollipop" hold from 25 yards. Quality and craftsmanship appear great and the dove tails were just large enough to require a little stoning to install, which I prefer, to ensure a secure fit. I'd like to thank Dawson Precision for offering their support to the law enforcement community which we need now more than ever.
