Obviously proud American craftsmanship.
I recently bought the fiber optic rear sight, (.290) and a .180, and .215 fiber optic front sights for my Taurus 1911 that was shooting 4" low with the stock .150 front, and .290 rear sights. It corrected the point of impact beautifully with the .215 front blade. (I shoot Speer Lawman 200gr. FPFMJ's). However, despite the tremendous American craftsmanship and beautiful fit, function, I had to switch to Williams sights because of the fiber optic diameter size. Dawson sights are tremendous, and better made but they are target sights, an .030 dia. fiber optic rod. The Williams sights use an .060 dia. fiber optic rod.
After 30 yrs as a welder, I just couldn't see the .030 rods.
