While other sights give off a hazy glow making it difficult to focus, Dawson Precision® sights offer you the sharpest picture. We counterbore the blade so the optic is recessed. This subtle difference focuses the light in the sight making it not only brighter, but clearer. A fully cradled optic provides a longer optic lifespan.

    I was amazed how easy it was to install this front sight. The hardest part, not very hard, was taking the original one out.

    I have never installed any sights of any kind before, it took me all of 30 mins to install these; including getting the sight to the proper thickness before installation. I would highly recommend Dawson Precesision to anyone! They pay great attention to detail and give the consumer everything needed to do the job. You can not ask for more. Job well done Dawson Precision.

    Fit with just a little filing on the sight. Did not use the tool supplied as I have a professional sight tool. Good value and enables me to see the front sight even with my old eyes.

    Installed into RIA tactical. It required a little fitting, but that's to be expected. Other than saying that Dawson could make these wider at the base to fit the guns better, it's awesome.

    This is a high quality sight. It comes with replacement fiber optics and an installation tool. I was very pleased with this sight. Installation was very easy on my Rock Island tactical. It took about 10 minutes to prep the sight. had to remove some metal from both sides of the dovetail which was very simple. You should watch the installation video, it makes installation a breeze.

    Very pleased with Dawson's fiber optic front sight. Well packaged, good instructions (and tool). Easy to install and made a big difference on my 1911. Highly recommended.

    I changed the front sights on my 1911 Rock Island in less then 20Mins and went to the range. I shot 100 rnds and when I finished I had 90% inside a 4 inch bull. Perfect height at .240 All my sight changes are going to be Dawson.
