While other sights give off a hazy glow making it difficult to focus, Dawson Precision® sights offer you the sharpest picture. We counterbore the blade so the optic is recessed. This subtle difference focuses the light in the sight making it not only brighter, but clearer. A fully cradled optic provides a longer optic lifespan.

    Excellent addition to my Citadel 1911 9mm

    I bought this sight (patridge serrated .100 wide, .175 tall for a .075 dovetail cut) for my Citadel (Armscor) 1911 9mm and it fit perfectly and made the .120 wide rear notch sight picture perfect for me. The red fiber optic is bright and easy to pickup. I will shoot this at USPSA/IDPA matches. This is my second fiber optic sight from DP, the other went on my M&P 9. Their customer service is awesome. I talked with them on the phone to help figure out/understand what I needed and placed my order with no hassles. What they recommended was perfect. I am definitely a satisfied customer.

    I gave it 4 stars only because this is my first sight replacement and have nothing to compare it to. The instructional video was great, the installation was completed in about 20 minutes and two hours later I was at the range sighting in. Great job Dawson!!!

    Another Top Quality Addition From Dawson Precision

    Very few pistol parts can give you BOTH speed and accuracy. Dawson FO front sights deliver just that! The FO enables fast sight aqusition and the narrowness provides a front sight picture that won't obscure your target. This and a magwell was all I needed for my Rock Island Armory to be fully capable of competing in IDPA matches. Easily installed for a perfect fit following the video. Will definitely buy more Dawson Precision priducts!

    The DP fiber optic front sight for the Rock Island made a great addition to my Citadel 1911 9mm. The directions were clear and exact. The sight fits perfect without any modification. Great front sight for a Rock Island or Citadel 1911!

    First time to remove and install a front sight. Not as easy as the video shows but possible. Very pleased with the sight
