Description

Is there really a difference with Dawson Precision® sights? You bet there is!

While other sights give off a hazy glow making it difficult to focus, Dawson Precision® sights offer you the sharpest picture. We counterbore the blade so the optic is recessed. This subtle difference focuses the light in the sight making it not only brighter, but clearer. A fully cradled optic provides a longer optic lifespan.

Sight Details:

  • DESIGNED FOR Springfield Armory® 1911 (.340" dovetail cuts), 1911 DS® Prodigy®, and Dan Wesson® 1911 pistols.

    Great Sight

Posted by Edward on Aug 13th 2018

I have Dawson Fiber Optic Sights on my CZ97B, CZ 75SP01, and Glock 34, so I know the quality of these sights. It is almost like you have a red dot on your gun because it is pretty bright. I currently installed this sight on my Springfield TRP Operator Full Rail. I am keeping my adjustable rear sight so I ordered the height at .180 and two different widths (.100 and .135). The stock sight was .125 so I wanted to try slimmer and wider. It was simple to install if you watch the video. I did purchase a triangular file to take some off the dovetail.

I've bought 2 of these for my Springfield armory 1911s. The red fiber rod is like a having red dot.

    Perfect

Perfect fit in Springfield Loaded 1911 without any filing. I called with questions and they are super nice, completely knowledgeable and willing to help. It came with a great installation tool. Fiber optic front sight is far quicker on target acquisition than the the original black blade. Perfect sight for my gun was .180 high and .125 wide ramp serrated.

A loyal customer with good reasons to be...

Posted by Hervé on May 3rd 2018

This is the 3rd set of fiber optic sights I have bought from Dawson Precision and I love them all... something tells me that this won't be my last one either. Since I wasn't sure about which sight to pick, I called Dawson and the help I was able to get was exceptional; never once did I feel like I shouldn't have asked the kind of questions I was asking. The advice was precise, well thought of, and the recommendation was exactly what I needed. Thank you very much for all you do for us and the rest of the shooting community.

Great Front Sight at Great Price!

Posted by Mark on Apr 30th 2018

When I decided to order this sight, there were a wide variety of choices on heights and widths to choose from. HINT: measure your current front sight before ordering. I ordered this on Sunday afternoon and received it on Thursday. The sight came with good instructions, and an aluminum punch to install it with. Once installed, the sight is secure, and highly visible. It also came with extra fiber optic rods (1 red, 1 green).

    Quality Sight

Posted by Chris Ruzbasan on Apr 28th 2018

.180 x .125 Like many before me, my aging eyes were having trouble seeing the blacked out sights on my Springfield Armory Range Officer. After reading all the glowing reviews of the Dawson Sight, I pulled the trigger. I took my time, about 30 min, to fit the sight following the linked video. I am completely satisfied with the results.
