While other sights give off a hazy glow making it difficult to focus, Dawson Precision® sights offer you the sharpest picture. We counterbore the blade so the optic is recessed. My eyes are getting a bit tired along with my new gun shooting 2 1/2" high I decided to cure both issues. Watched Dave install a front sight on you tube and went for it, Dave spent some time with me deciding on what sight and what dovetail. Very obliging. Now it is hitting the 10 ring and is much more visible, plus I did the install. Thanks again Dave
Picked this up for my Springfield 1911 Range Officer to swap the front black bullseye sight. I've had it out to the range a few times (all outdoors) and my eyes lock onto that red fiber optic. I've noticed better/more consistent grouping with the 150 or so rounds I've put through it since the new sight went on. I'll be picking up one for my Walther PPQ M2
Recently purchased a Springfield Combat Operator in 9mm. The front sight was loose and the pistol shot 2 inches below point of aim. Dawson fiber optic front sight was a perfect match and the .160" height with .125" sight width calculated the POI to be correct for POA. Fitting required removal of .001" from bottom and smoothing the sides slightly. The tool enclosed was very helpful when installing and centering the sight. Range results was dead-on at 20 yards.

Had the sites installed today, looks great and the fit was excellent, The gunsmith that put them on for me said they fit very tight. That is what you want so I don't have to worry about them loosening up when I fire the gun. Also the shipping was very fast and free.
Like the amount of light this sight captures even during some lower light shooting. I would recommend this sight to anyone.
Sight is very bright and sharp. I like that the front bead is recessed slightly to sharpen the dot. Would highly recommend.
