Description

Is there really a difference with Dawson Precision® sights? You bet there is!

While other sights give off a hazy glow making it difficult to focus, Dawson Precision® sights offer you the sharpest picture. We counterbore the blade so the optic is recessed. This subtle difference focuses the light in the sight making it not only brighter, but clearer. A fully cradled optic provides a longer optic lifespan.

    Outstanding

Posted by Chris on Apr 11th 2016

This is the best fiber optic front sight I have ever used. The recessed fiber makes for a very crisp sight picture. Then you add in the ability to pick the width you want with the height you need and Dawson is my first and only stop for a front sight. This is makes three of my pistols wearing Dawson front sights, and will not be my last.

    Old eyes

Posted by Rich on Apr 8th 2016

Just what my old eyes needed for daylight shooting. My eye jumps to the bright dot framed in the black rear sight From Dawson. It's on a full size SA 1911 that I use for target shooting. It is a little snaggy, so I don't know how it would be for concealed carry.

    It Works

Put this on a SA 1911 TM which had a staked wide black sight, should have done it long ago. Went with the .o9o width, coupled with the red optic and was hitting 6" iron at 50 yards for the first time. Great addition for aging eyes. Fitting was quick, rather then filing the angled sides I just took a bit off the bottom, press fit in 1/3rd the way and tapped the rest of the way, 150 rnds and it has not moved.

A very bright fiber optic sight

Posted by John on Feb 24th 2016

I like the DP fiber optic sights because they are very bright in daytime light. I have them on all my competition guns. I like that you get a sight punch to do the install and the punch is cut to fit the sight that it comes with. Installation is straight forward after watching Dave's video. A very high quality product for a great price.

    Well designed, bright fiber optics

Sight base was a touch over sized which allowed for proper fitting. Install was very simple. Fibers are very bright even in mild lighting conditions

    good lighted sight

Posted by Unknown on Dec 11th 2015

Order was shipped very fast, sight looks & preforms very well in a lighted room or out doors. The sight swap was made very easy after watching video. The only things I don't like about this sight is that you can't use it in the dark & I can't see the red dot that good because of my aging eye sight.

They were very helpful through the process, removal and installation. They even provide a nice punch to make it easier. This sight really benefits my accuracy.
