Z9 Pistol Magazine for Glock® 43
Superior Capacity Without Compromise
The Glock® 43 has become one of the most popular concealed carry pistols on the market, prized for its slim profile and reliability. However, the standard 6-round capacity has always been a limitation for those seeking more firepower in their everyday carry setup. The Shield Arms Z9 Magazine solves this problem by engineering a 9-round solution that fits the exact same space as the OEM magazine with pinky extension, giving you three additional rounds without changing your pistol's profile or requiring a larger magazine.
Constructed from heat-treated steel and finished with their proprietary Powercron coating, the Z9 magazine delivers the same legendary Glock® reliability that shooters depend on while significantly increasing capacity. The steel construction provides superior strength and longevity compared to polymer magazines, while the precision manufacturing ensures flawless feeding and function. Whether you carry for personal protection, work in law enforcement, or simply want maximum capacity for range training, the Z9 provides a substantial upgrade over factory magazines.
Each Z9 magazine features an easy-to-remove, impact-resistant base pad that allows for quick disassembly and maintenance. The magazine is proudly manufactured in the United States using American materials and craftsmanship.

Understanding Powercron Finish
The Z9 magazine features a Powercron coating, a cationic epoxy finish that provides exceptional corrosion resistance in a lead-free, low VOC electrocoat process. This finish is particularly well-suited for concealed carry applications where the magazine may be exposed to body moisture, humid environments, or saltwater conditions. Users who perspire heavily or live in coastal regions will appreciate the enhanced protection Powercron offers against rust and corrosion.
Important Note: Shield Arms works with multiple Powercron coating vendors to ensure consistent availability. As a result, you may notice slight cosmetic variations in the finish appearance between different production runs. These minor cosmetic differences do not affect the performance, durability, or corrosion resistance of the coating.
Mag Catch Requirement - Critical Information
Required Component: The Z9 magazine requires a steel mag catch for optimal reliability. You must replace your factory plastic mag catch with either the Standard Z-Series Mag Catch or Premium Z-Series Mag Catch.
The Z9 is specifically engineered to function with Shield Arms steel mag catches. Using the OEM plastic catch or mag catches from other manufacturers may result in reliability issues including failures to lock, premature drops, or improper seating. This is not a defect but rather a design specification that ensures optimal performance and longevity.
